For the Week of September 9-13th

Dear Father God.
I thank You, Father, for this day, for letting me wake up this morning to embrace the Sunlight (or Rain) coming down from heavens.
Dear God, please give me the health and strength I need to overcome every stronghold in my life.
Grant me the knowledge and understanding of Your word.
So today, I am strong, because I learn The Word of God.

For the Week of September 3-6th

WELCOME TO THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR!!

We are so excited to kick off the new year!  We would like to welcome all new families and all returning families to a bright and exciting school year. The staff is very excited about the coming school year that promises new opportunities for learning and growing, especially in our Faith.

We strive to develop the full potential of each child and continue to support and guide our students with their own faith journey.

Our Division theme:

"Lord, light the path and I will lead others.”

_________________________________________________________

A Student's Prayer at the Beginning of School Year

We give you praise, O God, for everything that is new and beautiful,

for everything which holds promise and brings us joy.

Bless us as we start this new year with our friends and teachers

Help us to make the most of every chance we have to start afresh.

May we show love to one another and to all.

May the new beginning of this school year remind us that you give us chances to start over again and again. Help us to forgive others as we receive your forgiveness.

Help us to learn and to work together.

Help us to listen when we should and to know the best words when we speak and when it is better not to speak.

We thank you for our friends

Help us to be good friends this year.

Help us to be patient with ourselves and with others.

Bless our school and keep us safe.

Be with us as we travel each day.

Help us to be aware of your love shown to us in the people around us.

Bless all those who care for us In school and at home.

Help us show our care for them and to say sorry when we need to.

May the Blessed Mother Mary protect us And help us to live as well as we can

Giving thanks and glory to God as she did.

Amen

Our "Week at a Glance" is a weekly post that will keep you up to date on the weekly events.  As the school moves towards going paperless, most notices and forms of communications will be done online.  As always, you can call the school office with any questions and concerns and the office staff will be happy to assist you.

What is PowerSchool?

PowerSchool is the online conduit where students’ marks, attendance, schedule information, and teacher comments can be found. PowerSchool gives parents and students continuous access to key information about students’ learning. As a result of the continued popularity and success of reporting via PowerSchool, we now have live reporting of student assessments through PowerSchool. With live reporting, we no longer send paper report cards home throughout the year. Checking PowerSchool regularly is a key communication tool for teachers, parents, and students.

Returning students will continue with the same login information, as well as parent logins.  New students and parents will be given a username and password at the beginning of the year.  We encourage all parents to regularly sign in to receive all school reports.

Reminders for Parents:

School Fees:  $35 per student.  Payments can be made at the office with cash or cheque.  Our debit/credit card machine is temporarily out of service.  We hope to have it up a running mid-week.
